The Florida Panthers visit the Buffalo Sabres in an Atlantic NHL tilt on Thursday.
The Florida Panthers have been at the top of their game of late with wins in six of eight after a 4-3 SO win at Detroit on Monday. Detroit took a 3-0 lead in the first with Andreas Athanasiou, Gustav Nyquist and Thomas Vanek scoring while Jimmy Howard recorded 24 stops.
Florid received second period goals off the sticks of Jared McCann, Henrik Borgstrom and Jayce Hawryluk. Jonathan Huberdeau scored the only goal of the shootout while Roberto Luongo allowed three goals on eight shots before James Reimer stopped 12 shots in relief to pick up the win for the Panthers.

The Buffalo Sabres have been in a funk with losses in five of six following a 3-1 loss to the visiting NY Islanders on Monday. Kyle Okposo scored a power play goal in the third with Carter Hutton getting the loss with two goals scoring on 32 shots.
New York received scoring from Nick Leddy, Brock Nelson and Ryan Puluck on the empty net with 32 seconds left. Robin Lehner picked up the win for the Islanders with a 39 save performance.
