The Los Angeles Dodgers take the field in game six of the NLCS at Milwaukee in Friday MLB.
The Los Angeles Dodgers took a 3-2 NLCS lead with a 5-2 win versus Milwaukee on Wednesday. Los Angeles starter Clayton Kershaw picked up the win with a run allowed over seven innings where he struck out nine while Ryan Madson gave up a 9th inning run.
The Dodgers offense banged out nine hits and walked four times with Justin turner going 2-3 with an RBI and run while Yasiel Puig had two hits and drove in a run. Los Angeles saw Brian Dozer, Max Muncy and Austin Barnes knock in runs with all five runs scored in innings 5, 6 and 7.
Los Angeles has named Hyun-Jin Ryu as the starter in game six of the NLCS. Ryu did not get a decision in a 4-3 victory at Milwaukee in game two of the NLCS with two runs plated over 4.1 frames.
The Milwaukee Brewers never got their bats going Wednesday and the pitching couldn’t contain the Dodgers and now the team faces elimination in game six. Wade Miley started for Milwaukee and walked a batter and was relieved by Brandon Woodruff who was charged with three runs (two earned) over 5.1 innings to absorb the loss while Joakim gave up two runs in the 7th.
The Brewers offense consisted of five hits and a pair of bases on balls with Lorenzo Cain going 2-4 with an RBI while Curtis Granderson delivered a pinch hit RBI double with Jesus Aguilar and Orlando Arcia scoring.
The Brewers have named Wade Miley as Friday’s game six starter. Miley did not get a decision in a 4-3 loss against the Dodgers in the second game of the NLCS despite tossing 5.2 shutout innings.
LA Dodgers are 20-7 in their last 27 overall and are 20-7 in their last 27 games on grass and are 36-16 in their last 52 Friday games. Milwaukee are 25-9 in their last 34 Friday games and are 7-3 in their last 10 playoff home games and are 52-25 in their last 77 home games. Under is 3-0-1 in the last 4 meetings and LA Dodgers are 5-2 in the last 7 meetings.
I’m not real interested in this one but I think Milwaukee has had their chances in this series and the Dodgers have survived. Los Angeles finds a way to end the series and head to their second straight World Series…
