The Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees meet for game four of the ALDS from Yankee Stadium in MLB action on Tuesday.

The Boston Red Sox will look to win the series and host the Houston Astros in the ALCS after taking game three on Monday in a 16-1 rout. Brock Holt hit for the cycle, going 4 for 6 with five RBIs. Andrew Benintendi had a three run double while Mookie Betts and J.D. Martinez each had two RBIs. Rafael Devers, Steve Pearce and Christian Vazquez each had an Rbi while Jackie Bradley Jr. added a double and Xander Bogaerts went 2 for 6 at the dish. Ian Kinsler added a pinch hit to round out the BoSox’ offense in the winning effort. Nathan Eovaldi got the win after allowing just one run on five hits while striking out five over seven innings of work. Rick Porcello will start game four and was 17-7 with a 4.28 ERA and 190 strikeouts in the regular season. In his career, Porcello is 10-8 with a 3.11 ERA and 109 strikeouts against the Yankees.

The New York Yankees will look to bounce back and force an all-deciding game five after being blown out on Monday. Didi Gregorius accounted for the lone Yankee RBI while Giancarlo Stanton went 2 for 4. Gleyber Torres, Luke Voit and Aaron Judge each added a base hit to cap off New York’s offense in the losing effort. Luis Severino took the loss after being tagged for six runs on seven hits over just three innings of work. CC Sabathia will start game four and was 9-7 with a 3.65 ERA and 140 strikeouts in the regular season. In his career, Sabathia is 18-13 with a 4.14 ERA and 233 strikeouts against Boston.

Boston is 7-3 in Porcello’s last 10 road starts and 3-7 in their last 10 playoff games while the over is 7-1-1 in their last 9 games overall. New York is 18-8 in their last 26 division matchups and 43-15 in their last 58 games following a loss while the over is 13-3 in their last 16 games overall. The over is 7-1 in the last 8 meetings between these two teams.

Sabathia has been a mixed bag, and hasn’t pitched in almost two weeks so I could understand why a lot of people would be on Boston. However, I’m not overreacting with the rout on Monday. The Yankees are still a solid ball club (not saying that Boston isn’t obviously) and Sabathia has plenty of experience pitching with success in the postseason. Porcello on the other hand is 0-3 with an ERA well over five in the postseason, so with their backs up against the wall, I have to side with New York to force game five.
