The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Boston Red Sox meet in game two of the World Series from Fenway Park in MLB action on Wednesday.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will look to bounce back and even up the series after dropping game one on Tuesday by a final score of 8-4. Manny Machado went 1 for 3 with three RBIs, while Matt Kemp added a solo home run to round out the Dodgers’ scoring in the loss. Justin Turner went 3 for 5 and David Freese had two hits while Max Muncy added a base knock of his own to finish off the Dodgers’ offense in the win. Clayton Kershaw took the loss after allowing five runs on seven hits while striking out five over four innings of work. Hyun-Jin Ryu will start game two and is 1-1 with a 4.40 ERA and 15 strikeouts this postseason. This will be Ryu’s second career start against Boston.

The Boston Red Sox will look to take a 2-0 series lead to the City of Angels after taking game one on Tuesday night. Eduardo Nunez led the way with a pinch-hit three run home run, while J.D. Martinez added two RBIs and Xander Bogaerts, Rafael Devers and Andrew BEnintendi each added an RBI to round out Boston’s scoring with Benintendi going 4 for 5 at the fish with a double. Sandy Leon went 2 for 4 and Mookie Betts added a base hit to round out Boston’s offense in the winning effort. Chris Sale went 4 innings, not factoring in the decision, while Matt Barnes got the win by tossing a scoreless 5th. David Price will start game two and is 1-1 with a 5.11 ERA and 13 strikeouts this postseason. In his career, Price is 0-1 with a 2.25 ERA and 7 strikeouts against the Dodgers.

Los Angeles is 2-12 in Ryu’s last 14 road starts against a team with a winning record and 21-9 in their last 30 games overall while the under is 4-1 in Ryu’s last 5 road starts. Boston is 21-6 in Price’s last 27 home starts and 12-2 in their last 14 World Series games while the over is 9-1-2 in their last 12 home games. Los Angeles is 3-8 in the last 11 meetings between these two teams and 0-5 in the last 5 meetings between these two teams in Boston.

I was all over Los Angeles in game one from a value standpoint as I thought Kershaw would come out firing. The issue was that Boston came to play and are looking like the best team in the majors that we saw over the course of the season and Price appears to finally have that weight lifted off of his shoulders after his first career postseason win in a starting role last time up. Ryu has struggled on the road against above average competition, and was touched up for four runs in five innings in his lone start against Boston, so I’ll side with the Red Sox to take a 2-0 lead behind another strong outing from Price here.
